About the Dubai Duty Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes Day
Saturday’s seven race programme is highlighted by the Group 2 Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes staged this year in honour of Ian Balding LVO who masterminded Mill Reef’s remarkable career from his base at Park House Stables, Kingsclere, close to Newbury Racecourse.
In 1972 the outstanding middle distance performer of his generation completed the Epsom Derby, Eclipse Stakes and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe treble in a season which began with victory in Newbury’s Greenham Stakes at the meeting now known as the Dubai Duty Free Spring Tials Weekend in April.
Dubai Duty Free is proud to have enjoyed a long association with the Mill Reef Stakes and looks forward to welcoming members of the Balding family to Newbury to celebrate his remarkable trainer.
